April - Spring Break
Savannah got everyone climbing trees.
Some great picture of the kids outside in D.C. Check out the limo and cherry blossoms!
How cold is it, Noah?
Behind the wheel by himself!!!
Fiona found a bone!
Fun for everyone on grandpa's property!!
Thanks Grandpa!!
April started with general conference and a visit from some dear friends from Utah. The Anderton family. It was a pleasure to visit with them eventhough we didn't have much time as I would have liked. Thanks Ginger and Ryan for coming over Sunday; I still captured some pictures of our time in DC with Savannah while everyone else was in the Holocaust Museum. I took Fiona our dog, big mistake. It wasn't that pleasant for her and for me. She doesn't like new environments. However, when we went up to NY to be with Greg's folks for Easter she got along great on their property and hanging out at grandma's house.
March 2012
Fun things happening this spring!
Basketball ended and Gray, Owen, and Payton had a fabulous season. I have one picture of Gray at award ceremony time. He received another "Minds in Motion" award. Im proud at how well he has kept his grades up while playing for his high school freshman team. He is an amazing athlete and student!
Owen progressed alot with Coach Tucker this season learning important skills that have increased his speed, ball handling, strategy plays and shots. They won a championship in a tough league playing against our post governors' son. Their picture even got in our local paper!
I started working for a friend to care for her little ones and clean her home. She is a mother of 8. That says enough! So March has been busy with work and then the last week of March Greg and I went to Florida for a fun trip! He had to go for business and I tagged along for pleasure! I slept in every day! (No early morning seminary duties!!) We arrived Tuesday, Greg worked Wed. while I got a manicure/ pedicure, read on the beach, studied for my Praxis test, did some sight seeing around town- window shopping or a little suvionour shopping (Im not much for that- it looks like junk to me), found postcards and mailed them to family. Oh, I got burned on the beach. While reading I didn't realize my right thigh was directly on the sand. I guess I have a high tolerence for pain and my senses are not acute to say the least! I still have the scar from it a month later. Thursday Greg had a 1/2 day. I jogged and relaxed and then we went for a kayak trip at night. Our guides were nice and we saw manatees, an alligator, lots of birds, crustacians and even a couple doliphins! Friday we went to the Orlando temple and Epcot Center. Saturday we just got ready to leave back home.
We didn't take our camera Kayaking because they recommended not to; we could loose it in the mirky water. So this is our only proof. I'll have to find the online site to see if they have more. (Of course, if we spent $$ we could get the pictures they took. It might be worth it. I just haven't had time to check them out.)
Epcot Center - many culture centers here.
Grandfather clocks are expensive! The above on is 350.00, below is over 1,000!
Beautiful gardens around.
They didn't seem to spare expense to create life looking models of fasinating architecture to represent different cities in the world.
O'Canada and the Soran exhibits were excellent, not to mention the belly dancer. (sorry, can't load my video)
Cape Canaveral where the cruises set sail for all areas of the Carribean.
Darn, you can't tell, but this bird is a pink flamingo! Click on it and maybe you can enlarge it.
Thanks to Greg's folks again for making this trip possible! Its nice to get away together and not have the daily grind of responsibilities.

February 2012
First month of some freezing temperatures this winter season and our furnace wasn't working right. Our bill reached an astronomical price of over 500 dollars. Luckily, we signed up about a year ago with a home warranty insurance through Bank of America. I called the insurance company, had it inspected and found out our compressor's dead and since our heat pump is over 20 years old the technician said it all needed to be replaced. We were worried for a day to see if our new insurance would pay for it. Luckily, they did! Over all we paid out of pocket 150 dollars for this job! So having this warranty has been worth it!!! Day after Valentine's we got a new furnace/ AC unit and now our hearts and hands are feeling how they should be!!!
Valentine's Day Fiona had her surgery- she got fixed. Not such a sweet Valentine's Day for her. She is already acting 90 percent normal today, day after!
Payton had a basketball game yesturday- Valentine's Day! It was sweet for him- they won! Last Sat. he scored 12 points. This time it was only 2, but hey, his team won and they are 4-1 now!
Gray's Freshman team ended with like 8 wins 4 losses. He now plans to rest for the spring. Focus on school, boy scouts, referree baseball (junior teams) and possibly do a travel basketball league with Owen. Noah can't wait for baseball. He has been "bored" during basketball season. Next season he plans to sign up and not skip it.
Growing up, she has a new collar and both her tags since she recently had her rabies shot too!
Playful puppy full of Raven spirit! Our neighbors surprised us with this little doggie shirt. That makes two neighbors now buying us a puppy gift. Fiona is a loved puppy!
Payton at Blue and Gold. Above he just ate a lemon! He says he loves them. This face shows just how much!! Below they are all singing a song. Payton is our last cub scout! Another 18 months and he will be a Boy Scout!
Now its March and it is the most beautiful spring day!! It actually feels like early summer or early fall. Love'n it! My new song I just got on my playlist is "Boys of Fall" by Kenny Chesney. It reminds me of my boys that love and play football.
