more 2013 pics & catching up to summer 2014

2013-2014 were difficult, emotional years for me but there are still many highlights that center around my 4 wonderful sons that fill me with joy.   (yes, the pics are out of order.  I am glad to just get this year recorded and finished.)
Gray (17) had a difficult Jr. year beginning with very little play time in football because the coach fields Seniors first.  (He is looking forward to a more memorable Senior year beginning this fall.)  He went to Homecoming dance with Sydney.  He had a job for the first time the Spring of 2014 but it only lasted for like 5 weeks because he unfortunately broke his ankle at the new Eldersburg trampoline park, "Stratosphere".  I am proud of Gray's willingness to help me.  He is showing more care to help and support his family.  He has a desire to prepare for his future.  I'm amazed at how well he handles all the stress that is on his shoulders.  I wish he would talk about it more but even still, he has an incredible ability to deal with stress  He and Owen also survived a terrible car crash this spring.  They were hit by a drunk driver, who happens to be a neighbor of ours.  - Aukward!
Owen (15) started high school and his class and friends are all quite sporty and do fabulous at all their games, dominating football having an undefeated season and basketball they broke the school record for wins.  He continues to impress me with his emotional maturity and controlling his temper, that doesn't mean he won't get mad and sassy but he does show restraint.  He knows his inner worth and cares for others too, he is fair and kind. Owen and Gray both have their own bedroom this year, no more sharing.
Noah had his final year playing for the Raiders.  Now we have no more Rec. Football games to go to.  Noah has matured a lot physically this year.  He is our 3rd teenager! He lost his little boy voice, braces were removed, and got hairier.  Noah makes me proud by showing that he cares to be prompt, and independent.  I never have to ask him to get his school work done. He loves his puppy most and shows it by playing rough with her.  His basketball and baseball skills continue to improve.  He is a good sport/ team player.
Payton doesn't play football.  He loves basketball and baseball.     Payton started middle school and he transitioned quite smoothly.  He may be our youngest but is never selfish.  I am so proud of his desire to please and make good decisions.  He is our social butterfly.  June 7, 2014 he turned 12 and the Sunday after he received the Aaronic Priesthood.  My parents and Greg's came to visit and share this momentous day with us.
I am one lucky mom!   I have 4 fantastic boys!  I also am blessed with parents that support us in many ways, from temporal to spiritual.  I am married to a great guy.  Greg and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary.  We continue to learn from each other through challenging but loving ways.   I cannot imagine my life without him, without any of them.

3/31/14 Our truck that was totaled.  This was a terrifying night.  I am grateful my boys walked away from this.  Gray had a concussion but other than that, so far, so good.
 Jumping to June: 6/8/14

Dont' worry dad, we are just looking.

Happy 12th Payton!

Mother's day flowers.  Aren't these beautiful?  I love roses.  I think I will plant some in my yard this year.
baseball spring 2014 - Cardinals again!   My boys are good ball players!   They are a joy to watch.  I love every minute of it!
Payton pitching.  He does an amazing job!

 Noah pitching.  An awesome pitcher!
Below, Payton with his team at the finals.
My 2 favorite ladies, my moms. 2 great cooks!

I get tired of cooking.  This year, especially, I would rather buy dinner than make it.  First of all, I never seem to have time to be in the kitchen to make yummy meals.  Here is an example of a good day in the kitchen.
January birthdays.  Happy Birthday Greg and Owen.

Gray's first day going to work, above.  His first job was at our local assistant living place called "Fairhaven".  Same as our baseball organization.  Unfortunately, Gray

This was a day I joined Greg and his co-workers at the airport to welcome home some service men and women. I think it was in February.
Noah in a Halloween costume with his buddy, Camden.  Fall 2013
Lots of snow again in 2013-2014.   Lots of snow!!

Noah had a tough year, lost more than won but still enjoys playing the game.  This is a graduation ceremony from the Rec. program as he will be in High school next fall.  (fall 2013)

Anniversary 18.   We were feeling like teenagers again attending this Imagine Dragons concert. It was fantastic!  I am glad we did this.

More pics from our road trip last summer, 2013.  Navuoo above, Badlands below.

Montana- I really like summer time here.   We enjoyed taking walks.

Below, last visit with my kids I used to babysit for.     Kaleb and Kiera.  Chris and Kevin Daly's youngest.

More pics from out Utah trips last summer, 2013.  Lily was the center of attention. I hear she has a younger brother competing for that now.
My brother, Al, is a great father.  June 6th they had a son, Benjamin Gerald.   Below Lily posing with great-grandma Soledad, whom she shares her middle name with.

 Group photos! Cousins!! Fuller Fun;)

Payton rules in basketball.  Below we are doing yard work and a neighbor friend, Deanna stopped to visit w/ her dog.

Noah going to football camp at the high school.  He will start as a 9th grader this fall with his brothers.  I will have 3 boys at Century High School.  OMG!!!  Crazy!  Behind him, Greg's new toy.

Spring 2014 I spent a lot of time at Linton Springs working with Anna Letaw and friend to get the gardens up and working.  I was able to use this project to renew my Utah teaching certificate.  Yeah!  I finally have that done!

Fiona got a new friend this year.  Puki has wandered to our neighborhood often and plays with Fiona.   He is a cute little dog.  The first time, below, it took more than 24 hours to find his owner so we are going for a walk together.

I bought a season pass to Piney Run park, above.  I really enjoy walking our dog here.  We can go in the middle of the day and it isn't too hot because of the forested area.  I took my parents here when they were in town.  Recently, I took, Sergio, our Spain brother to jog with me here too.  This pic was a day that Payton needed to complete his 5K hike for scouts so it was just him, Fiona and I.

Garden time again!   late May
end of July

Cucumber died off early this year.  I was able to get 4 yummy cucumbers that were green and not yellow but for some reason its beginning to die.
I have been able to get a fair amount of green beans considering that nasty yellow bug won't go away.  I kill them and they come back.
My cherry, plum and grape tomatoes are getting ripe now.  Even though these plants have had the blight they are surviving.

Peppers are always easy to grow here.  Behind them are potatoes.  This is my first year trying to grow potatoes.
