After two years of coming in last or second to last place, we have a winner and its Noah! He won second place but heck, much better than our last couple years!!! Plus, since he made his car 99 percent by himself this year, I'd say he won 1st overall!!! We learned from past experience that you don't paint the underside of the car, you don't hammer in your wheels cuz you want them not to bend in anyway but to stay aligned, balanced and rotate well, and you don't want a light weight car - so I bought special weights for him to add to it instead of taping coins the last minute. So, with all that in mind, Noah went to work and came up with a winner! I call it the Red Bulltruck, I can't remember what he calls it. (I might edit this later.)

Noah's name wasn't circled but he won 2nd. Brigham is 3rd this year but he won 1st last year. Forrest Graham was last place a year ago but is top dog in 1st this year!
Ready, set, go!

I think this is the race where Noah beat Brigham and won for second.
Proof that he made it himself, and all in one day. (Greg just sat there to show his supervisory support. Greg actually went to the pinewood derby this year and took the pictues above. I couldn't go for some reason, which escapes me now.)

After the cutting, sanding, came the painting with red spray paint. It dried over night and got two black permenant marker lines drawn on it for an excellent design finish! Troop number 905 with stickers was added to one side to complete the drag look! Im so proud of Noah doing all this work in 2 days! Next year he will get one more shot for 1st and Payton will be in the races too. I'm sure Noah will teach Payton how to make a cool, fast derby car.
