Surprises and Goodbyes

Upon returning from our long, road trip we drove up our driveway to be surprised by a new/ used vehicle and Greg standing near it with a BIG grin. Yes, he finally bought himself the truck he wanted! We were all so surprised! My jaw dropped! I was almost in shock! So we are saying goodbye to our little, much newer car- the black Yaris but not perminantly because Greg's folks said they want it. (I couldn't believe it- they knew about this during the weekend I was up there and never said a word. Now I know why Greg called me in NY asking if I knew where the car insurance papers were hidden.) I guess we can take care of our own lawn work now, taking stuff to the dump without borrowing Bob's or our neighbors!

Surprise! The next day after the trip was the first day of school, goodbye summer vacation!
Tuesday, August 26.

Below are pics from day two. Notice Gray has his permanent cast. He is standing next to his buddy- Tyler. They started middle school! Life is a bit more managealbe in the a.m. now because I send off the younger three and Gray can sleep in (and not bug his brothers) until he departs 45 minutes after the young ones get on their bus. Yeah, that doesn't seem fair to the young ones but it is something nice to look forward to as a middle school student.

Tuesday, first day of school, was also my mom's last full day here. She had to return back to AZ. Wednesday. We went to the temple together. It was nice to have the hour chat before and after the session. With all the boys it was our only chance to get there together. (I really enjoyed her company and help while she was visiting us. She is a supermom! She has taught me all I know. I love you mom!!)

I love your truck! Sorry about your arm, Gray. Just to think about hurting your arm + elbow roller blading, made me scream. Ouch!

I love the picture of your mom at the temple! She is beautiful.

I can't believe you are truck people now!!! Just kidding.

Good luck with middle school. Lisi is there now too, and I feel old. We really aren't that old though, huh.

That's a great truck! Can you believe you have a middle schooler now? I'm sorry about Gray's arm. I had my first breaks this summer- my elbow (hairline) and my toe (severe compound, and had to have surgery). So not fun! That's nice your mom got to visit and you guys got to go to the Temple together!
